true order
by: Tradition
Top tier is Ddd/xo/kd. One is not better than the other, only different. Girls chose the one they fit in better with.
Middle tier is dg/phi mu/kappa. Order is exact.
Top of the bottom is pi phi & aopi. Personally I like pi phi better, but the two are very different so personality prevails in this tier.
Middle of bottom is adpi.
Bottom of bottom is theta and aphi. There is honestly nothing wrong with theta, they just have past stereo types they have to overcome. Aphi is questionable because of how they handled their first recruitment.

I'm not the op, but I agree with them.
Top tier is top because of their return rates and the number of girls that want bids. Top tier girls know which house they fit into better. It's a personal decision.
I guess the same could be said for the other tiers as well, but history and tradition come into play. Dg has been here the longest, they are the most traditionally desirable sorority in the middle tier because of their legacies and alumni. Next phi mu. Kappa is still relatively new in the grand scheme of things and don't have the legacies or alumni that the others do.
Great-grandmothers, grandmothers, mothers, legacies. Dg has the history, kappa does not.

DG hasn't been here the longest--they were started at an all girls college in oxford and colonized at ole miss in 1926 or something like that. Chi O and DDD have been on campus since 1901.
