re-rushing; once cut from xo cut for life?

by:

I am re-rushing as a sophomore and i was told that there is no point to get recs for chi-o because once youre cut youre cut forever. Is that true? or is there a chance of getting chi-o after being through rush once already?

Is there a sophomore quota here? I know some schools have them.

No sophomore total. The only way sophomores. Pi phi, AOPi, Adpi, theta, and aphi are your best bets.

Unless you have strong connection with either multiple actives or very active alumni.

Once cut always cut. But it wouldn't hurt to send in a rec just to be on the safe side.

One cut always cut it true for the top six sororities. Not just xo

that is not true. There are 2 sophomore girls in the KD pledge class who had been through rush before.

There would be no way this could have happened except if the girls chose to drop kd before kd cut them.

For example, they had kd low on their list after the first round and all the sororities before kd invited them back.

Because you preffed them, it means that they didn't cut you, you just weren't high enough on their bid list to receive a bid.

There is no way of knowing whether or not you will receive a bid until you actually go through rush.

Courious to know who you did get a bid from, and why you turned it down. That could reflect poorly on you.

Just send in the Chi o rec. the future is the future you don't know what could happen so stop dwelling and take the chances. Asking questions on this website does nothing but stir up fear and reciving answers from a lot of girls that may or may not be that nice.

I don't think Chi O is a once cut, always cut sorority, it's not their national policy. But it may be different here of course. I am not a Chi O here but my sister is one at a school in Texas. She rushed freshman year, got cut from XO like the second day and got a bid from another house. She dropped after a few weeks because she wasn't feeling it. She rushed again as a sophomore and now she's a happy Chi O! I hope you made connections in the houses this past year, have a solid GPA and got rec letters. Good luck!

Ole miss sororities make up their own rules as they go along with little respect for their national rules

XO sucks at ole miss. if it were bama or MSU i would understand worrying. XO is going downhill faster than anything. stay away from them

I'm sorry you got cut! Chi o is a great sorority but very exclusive. Not the right fit for everyone. Every sorority is a great sorority at Ole Miss but it is hard for any PNM to feel like they fit in at every single house! Stop dragging down a sorority because you don't like it. You're jealous and the only reason you are speaking out like this is because you were hurt. It has been psychologically proven that anyone that has strong anger and displays it, has been hurt. That is the cause. Now grow up and stop whining about it.
