They rushed me hard. Invited me to stay with them and attend spring parties. Invited me to hang out over the summer. Invited me to various pre-games when classes started. Texted me through out the first the rounds. Tons of kd's liked and commented on every social media post.
Imagine my surprise when they didn't invite me back to pref! they certainly made my choice easier for me, but seriously hurt my feelings.
What was worse was that because they were rushing me hard I hung out with other girls they were rushing hard. When the other girls received bids and I didn't, they quit hanging out with me. Lost my entire friend group with the exception of those they also dropped for pref.

Seriously? That is screwed up. I don't think you would see a Bama KD alum meddling in Auburn KD's member selection, or vice versa.

Actually I'm a PNM and I've been dirty rushed by a sorority at Ole Miss that is not KD. I've been invited to CHAPTER philanthropy events, spring parties, been given presents, taken to dinner, and they follow me and comment on my social media. Thankfully, I have an older family member who goes to another SEC school who is in a sorority, she's been the one to tell me that what they're doing isn't okay. She's even in the same sorority these girls are in just at a different school. My friends that are going to Ole Miss have different sororities that are dirty rushing them too, none of which are KD. Apparently, it's a practiced thing here. Not complaining necessarily, only bc I'm smart enough to know that there's always a chance that I won't get a bid from this sorority, but clearly it isn't just KD.

I have gotten Christmas cards, summer postcards, spring invites, and brunch at two different houses. So many followers and comments on Instagram... I would say I have talked to KD nd they have been really nice, but the over the top behavior has been from two other houses!
I don't know if KD is calming down from the last few years or other sororities are upping their game to be competitive.

I don't think y'all understand the point. People aren't saying KD is over the top with rushing people, they are saying they'll act like your friend and then cut you to up their return rates. All top houses go out of their way to rush girls they want.

As an active, I can tell you that everything you mentioned is allowed. It's not dirty rushing until they promise you a bid. There will come a point after classes start that we will have to go "silent" and not talk or hang out with pnm's, but for now, girls are just letting you know they are interested in you.
Realize that no one can promise you a bid. No one can tell you you are xyz material, no one can tell you they are going to vote for you. No one should be bad talking other sororities.
Kd rushes everyone hard whether they want you or not. They may be interested in your friend, but feel they need to be nice to you in order to get your friend. Be warned! Most other sororities only rush the girls they want. They don't waste time leading girls on.

True or not this is the reason a PNM should never take anything about rush and getting a bid for granted. You never know what will happen with all sororities not just KD.
