by: SadI personally am ashamed at how sororities are treating this issue with Derby Days. We all know the comments were wrong and uncalled for and encouraging members to keep quiet and let it happen is absurd. Panhellenic wants to stand as a united front, but putting members down for speaking their own concerns is wrong. To everyone upset, speak up! You aren't alone. You are the biggest part of fixing the issue. Until someone speaks out thins will continue to happen how they are. If your sorority cannof acknowledge and accept the differing opinions of its members, than you are better off with being affiliated with them. Do not let 2 or 3 letters dictate your life.

Every family has their dirty little secrets that we encourage members not to discuss in public. Sororities are no different.
We need to let Panhellenic work with sororities as groups to solve these issues. Discussing anything in a public forum will only result in negative perceptions.
If girls are upset with what went down, they need to speak to the president of their sorority.
More can be accomplished as a group than as individuals!

this is true to some regard; however, some sororities on campus are telling members to keep quiet because they don't want to get Sig X in trouble. They actually want members to kiss up to Sig X members instead. Never will I let my 1st amendment right be deminished by my couple of letters.
