Definitely living on a legacy. Last two pledge classes have been less than stellar. They lost several to KD, DG and even XO. However, they are being much more assertive this year so I anticipate they will have a better pledge class.

Very random group. I guess it’s due to the legacies they have to take and also the friends of alums they have to take. Very much alum controlled, which has impacted pledge classes and sisterhood. House renovation will be nice but other than that, I would think the group would only appeal to a very small number.

The pledge class was a little surprising last fall. You can tell the focus is on GPA--there is nothing wrong with this but it does change the membership make-up. Also, very legacy heavy. They don't cut legacies even when some should be. The sisters I know don't seem to have a strong connection with other DDDs. They tend to hang out with members of other groups.

I am a Tri-Delta alumna from out of state now living in Mississippi for the last 10 years. The Jackson metro-area alumnae have a lock on this chapter. Literally. They are cliquey and exclusive to the point that they behave as though the Ole Miss chapter of Tri-Delta is the ONLY one in Mississippi "worthy" of supporting PUBLICLY. Over time this attitude has backfired on them because now top legacies are constantly pledging OTHER sororities at Mississippi schools. Other Tri-Delta chapters in MS do not enjoy the prestige of the Ole Miss chapter because of the lack of PUBLIC SUPPORT of the primary alumnae group in the state. ALL CHAPTERS of Tri-Delta in MS need the support and attention that is currently exclusively focused on Oxford. Not until top Mississippi Tri-Delta legacies are happy to pledge Tri-Delta at ANY SCHOOL in Mississippi will Tri-Delta wield the power and influence Chi Omega currently has-- where every single chapter in the state is strong, supported by alumnae, and preferred by legacies. I would love to share Tri-Delta with my young daughter someday, but if things do not change, it is entirely possible she may not be interested if she goes anywhere but Ole Miss. And that is a shame. It is time for these Jackson metro-area alumnae to show up in numbers at every chapter in this state, supporting, guiding, and BEING THERE for their sisters. Sorry to be blunt but this should be said.

My Mommie loves me too, and she thinks I'm special, but she doesn't comment on my sorority page.

This is pretty true. But it’s human nature to hate on those who reject you. This can be said for most sororities who cut a lot of girls.
