Beta Theta Pi - ΒΘΠ Fraternity at University of Mississippi - Ole Miss 5.0 Most frats at ole miss are dominated by a certain group from a certain place or status within Mississippi. Beta had a reputation but then lost its charter and was rechartered in the early 2000s. This gave them the opportunity to recruit without expectations which is why it has attracted so many guys from out of state. I think it’s great and definitely on the rise. Because, they pick members without having to worry about ridiculous out dated MS legacy expectations, they can focus just picking good guys. It has also helped that they have recruited some guys who have wealthy families from Texas and Louisiana that have helped upgrade the house, which is historic and probably in the best location on campus.
