informal recruitment for dphie

I went for one of their informal events tonight and thought it actually went pretty great. Hope they end up getting great girls!

I wish them all the best too but having watched Greek Life at IU for nearly a decade [now on a house corps], I think they NEED to get girls or they will go down. You can't sustain a chapter on 9-15 new girls a year, or even a semester. There are some really great girls in this chapter-- I think the runner-up to Homecoming Queen last year was DPhiE. I really hope that PNMs who like what they see at DPhiE will consider joining.

They desperately need a lot more new members or they won't last for much longer. I hope some great PNM's can see beyond their reputation and shortcomings and will give them a try.

There are obviously girls who want to be Greek, I hope they go to some of the informal events this week. DPhiE is still so new and has so much potential, the right group new girls could really make a difference.
