Can I do informal if I have below a 2.8?

but no sorority is going to give you a bid if your poor GPA is below their standards. Too many other great candidates who actually meet our expectations. No one wants a grade risk no matter what type of recruitment it is.

How do you know? Do the SK reps really spend that much time on here?

The SK reps do not spend time on here. You should ask them their gpa rules. I think there might still be info meetings going on but not 100% sure

Pretty sure they've been clear about their requirements in the information meetings. Just because they're new doesn't mean they don't have standards. All sororities will and you don't meet them at this time.

Don't listen to them OP, at the meeting they said they would be open to some girls below a 2.8. That doesn't mean there will be many . And if they don't work out checkout Dphie their gpa isn't that high anyway

what would a "sister" be doing at the SK meeting? this is a bunch of bs. stop trying to smear sk. they have high standards just like everyone else does. at least that's what they really said in the meeting I actually attended.

I went with a friend. And they did answer the question on GPA multiple times. Not saying they will take many girls without a 2.8 or above but they might take some otherwise they would have said it was a strict requirement. And Dphie's own average gpa isn't that high. They have the lowest out of all sororities housed and unhoused.

is that just like how formal recruitment lets people go through with GPAs that no one will take, the SK colony isn't going to stop someone from trying out just because they have a crummy GPA. But they're not going to give those people bids, they're just trying to be nice and include them in the process.

Like someone above said, just study hard this semester and raise your GPA. You will have many more options next year that way

Ask specific chapter so. Some have lower GPA requirements but usually only informally rush a friend or 2 and don't publicize it
