DPhiE just announced informal recruitment so how about instead of hating on them for being unhoused we send our support like all Greeks should. At IU you are lucky to be a part of any sorority and I encourage all pnms that didn't get a bid or dropped out to strongly consider DPhiE!

Let's be honest, you could still check out SK and go through the process. If you don't get selected, there is still time to check out DPhiE and any other chapter who has drops during the new me,her period. Girls drop for all kinds of reasons: financial, transfer from IU, decide Greek Life isn't for them, etc. I hate that informal rush is so secretive. If chapters registered with Panhel and then there was some sort of official time frame for informal, the chapters would get a better turn out for informal. Something to think about in the future.

SK is so much stronger nationally, even more so than housed chapters currently at IU.

Do some research. SK has a good philanthropy in Alzheimer's. They have over 100 chapters, they are stable enough. It will be fine.

No one is saying SK isn't good or has a bad philanthropy but let's stop thinking they'll get on campus and instantly become middle tier. Even if they have a great colony class they still have to keep it up. I do think they could become a great chapter but they aren't here yet and won't be established for atleast a few years.

I don't think anyone's saying SK will automatically be middle tier. I think they're just saying they have some definite advantages over the unhoused sororities, particularly DPhiE.

Is it true that DPhiE cancelled their informal recruitment activities for this week because the first 2 events are the same time as the SK info sessions? The online posts about DPhiE's event have disappeared.
