bed quota

by:

If you have 22 chapters and only 50 girls if that; they take = 1,100 girls!
To many ladies are going to not be a part of IU Greek System!

Wake up IU you need to get with the times! Just like the rest of the GREEKS ACROSS the United States.......

I think the bed quota system is great! The severe competitiveness will ensure each house always makes quota, and it will keep the Greek system elite and sometime to aspire to.

If it was less competitive, the less popular houses would struggle to make quota, and some might even close.

Something to aspire to? Lmao. Most people don't aspire to be unnecessarily petty and mean. Greek life here eats their own

All the NPC sororities are good and strong. The only thing that hurts some chapters is the mean spirited tier system promoted by some Greek members. There are enough quality members to go around if everyone would follow the lead of their founders. You don't build yourself up by tearing others down.

50 women is the minimum. Some chapters will definitely take more than 50, before this rule quite few chapters took between 52-56 routinely. It was only a handful of houses that made this rule necessary...you know who you are. If we did it like all the other campuses, pledge classes would be between 70 and 75. If that was the norm, people would get used to it and stop complaining.

Oh come on.... have you been to another campus? 50 is more than enough for a minimum quota. We're talking about 200+ girls in each house when you include pledges. The answer is to have more houses, not more girls in each house. IU is one of the largest schools in the country and it has one of the most vibrant greek lifes, it's ridiculous that we only have like 22 chapters when there are 30 something fraternities on campus.

Yes, actually I have been to another campus. One of my friends from high school goes to Bama and another goes to Kentucky (cough cough). At UK pledge classes in the 80s and Bama pledge classes are in the 100s. Just because that's the way IU does it, doesn't make it the best.

those people at those schools don't even know the members in their pledge class much less all of those in their house. we'll keep IU with our elite and close knit sisterhoods.

The word "elite" and IU don't even belong in the same sentence for starters...and I love our school but...stop!

An issue for me is that I don't want to live in as a senior, I am a junior. It doesn't mean that I don't love my house or sisters, I very much for. I want some freedom. I also would love to have the choice to live by friends from other houses. I love how my friends at other schools have signed leases and have the opportunity to live on their own. I have loved living in but I'm ready for some freedom.
End the bed count!

Then you should have joined an unhoused sorority and given your spot to someone who would love to live in.

Hey alum troller, I didn't want to and I'm very happy with the choice that I made in a housed chapter but thanks for the very useless opinion, LOL... Furthermore most all seniors feel this way too....

Let's get this straight....just because this is the way it's always been done, your small mind thinks this is the way in which it should stay?
Change is good, embrace it because this is now how IU will look forever.

this isn't your school and is none of your business. The great majority of us like it this way.

You are all in chapters of national sororities. The meanness of your recruitment means that you are embarrassing to your National organization.

Not everyone is meant to be in greeklife, if they were we would have 50 chapters here. Everyone who is complaining about this should not be rushing
