Are you kidding? They barely take-out of-town members! If you aren't from an up-scale Indy high school or maybe a north-Chicago suburb forget it.
This is the reason they aren't as highly-regarded as they used to be. Other groups have embraced IU's national presence and included a good cross-section in their pledge classes. Fiji is inbred and, frankly, a little boring and stale.
While still a good house with lots of involvement and considered popular, IU Fiji is sadly pigeonholed and for that reason is not as vibrant or popular as it once was when IU was mostly an in-state school.

Fiji has been insular as to whom they recruit; to be honest, they've been this way for decades. So naturally, unless you're from an upscale Indy HS, an upscale area in the Indy suburbs or from another recruitment pool area where Fiji excels at selecting NMs, forget it. No wonder why Fiji isn't as relevant as they used to be at IU.
