still waiting

by: Hopeful

Still waiting for a response for my appeal. I sent it to both Indiana, nationals and others who I thought could read it. My appeal is good. Well though out and clear message. Why haven't I gotten a response?
Rush is coming up fast.

It does not matter who you sent it to. The only entity that can grant the waiver for the appeal is the IU Panhellenic. So far, I have not heard of any waivers being granted. Last year there were less than 5 granted, and one of those granted was due to verified professor error. The girl really had above the minimum, her professor entered her grade incorrectly.

Contact IU Panhellenic on Monday.

Do IU panhellic rules for recruitment take presidence over national panhellic unananmous rules?

Does each university Greek council set own rules?

That answer should clear up several posters questions.

IU panhellenic rules take presidence. Their rules override national panhellenic rules. Additionally, all the housed sororities at IU have very strict GPA requirements, and will certainly not accept a pnm with a gpa below 2.8.

why would you want IU to allow you to rush only if every house will then cut you because of GPA? You will just end up investing a lot of time and emotional energy only to get cut by every house. This can't have a happy ending. I know you are sad, but wouldn't you be more sad if IU allowed you to go through a process that they know will end badly?

I believe that if IU will grant me a reversal on the appeal deny that the houses will except my 2.78 gpa. I just have to be permitted the chance to rush.

I believe you are delusional unless your mother is a national officer or you have a sister currently in a chapter at IU. And then your options would be limited to that chapter.

Each chapter votes on the GPA Panhellenic sets at the minimum. It was unanimous. Therefore each chapter wants women who have at least a 2.8.
