So I'm super nervous. I got an appeal for having a 1.3 GPA due to serious issues. What're my chances of getting into a top tier????

Hey! So I was in your boat too and super nervous about having an appeal as well, my GPA is not quite so low but it's still not a 2.8. Basically, all the houses will know you have an appeal and know that you obviously have a great reason for the not so great GPA and also, why would panhel give you an appeal if they knew it was basically worthless, they wouldn't get your hopes up for nothing. It might make the process a little harder but if you vibe with a chapter, they'll look over the GPA. Best of luck

First of all, none of the houses will know you have a "great reason" for appealing a terrible GPA. The only reason panhel even allows these appeals is because they get money through registration fees. No sorority will take a girl that has a GPA that low, it's against ALL sorority national bylaws. So stop spreading false information. My best advice would be to get your GPA up and try again next year :)

No IU sorority will take a girl that has a GPA lower than 2.8, it's too much of a liability for them

I am AMAZING. Why do you think that gave me an appeal? I come from a very rich and important family. I'm beautiful. I'm smart (no matter the grades, who needs grades when you're stinking rich)? Don't be mad because you didn't get an appeal when your gpa was a 2.99. I got an appeal because I obviously have something to offer. Oh my!!!!

When an exemption is given them why would a house eliminate a girl with under the 2.8. Either hey want you and make an exception or they don't and it wouldn't matter.
