rushing/weight

I'm rushing when we get back to school after break and my biggest concern right now is my weight. I'm definitely not huge but I'm not also definitely not skinny and I'm scared that this is going to make a lot of houses drop me. I only know a few girls in houses and have barely any connections. Would houses like chi o or tri delt drop me just because of my weight? It seems like when you look at pictures of their pledge classes every single girl is skinny.

Definitely not! Houses like Tri Delt and Chi O have completely normal sized girls! Not fit, not skinny! Of course every house has very fit and thin girls but chapters aren't looking for that and then want to see who you are

95% of girls will get cut from chi o or tridelt at one point during rush and never find out why. That's just how rush is.
Here's a couple hints:
1. If it looks like everyone in the house is pretty and skinny... That's not a coincidence.
2. Don't try crash dieting over break. The 5lbs won't make a difference and you'll look tired.
3. If you're trying really hard to look/act like girls in a house just realize you will have to try that hard every day for the next four years.
4. Even the "bottom tier" houses have to be selective. Don't focus on who dropped you... Focus on the houses that keep you because they cut hundreds of girls to do that.

There are girls all shapes and sizes in the Greek community. Do not let that affect how you feel going into recruitment. If you go to a chapter and feel like you have to look a certain way, change your appearance or personality to fit in then that is a sign that the chapter isn't the right one for you. Remember is a mutually selection process! You get to chose/cut chapters too! Stay open minded and positive about the process.
