There are many non greeks typing here because they want to discourage pnms by creating drama that doesn't exist. Greeks are a far more cohiesive group than what you would find in the dorms or off campus. There are always going to be a few jerks and crazies but they exist everywhere. It's really about whether you enjoy a lively social life and want to improve your leadership and philanthropic qualities.

I was a member that deactivated after 1 year of living in the house. It was a horrible experience. My "mom" loved me and my fellow sisters that pledged with me were great... until my own mother got colon cancer. Once that happened and I was dealing with a lot, everyone... and I do mean everyone, in the house abandonded me. No one knew how to walk with someone through something significant. I had trouble keeping up my bills because my mom and dad were paying for her treatment. I was not asked to leave... I choose to leave but I was treated very badly. I know not all Pi Phi's are like this so I am not making a blanket statement, but the Pi Phi's of IU in ... (won't say the year), for the most part (can't say this for them all)were terrible sisters. I hope no one ever gets treated like that again.

I am pretty sure the people commenting on this site are not in the greek system at IU. Someone likes starting trouble. If you look at the other comments they have DZ with Kappa Sig for lil 5. which is not true.
