sorority comments

The person below insults greeks with her silly comments. I am going through rush in the fall and I've been watching this site. I'll bet the witch below gave fives to the three she is complaining about and ones to a bunch of houses just to make them look bad. More houses have fours and fives than anything else. Why would you want to disparage good houses with your nonsense?Wonder if your house always gets ones and twos.

If you really are a PNM I sure hope that you don't take into account the crap that people say on Greek Rank when you go through recruitment. You're basically setting yourself up for failure. BTW, it's "recruitment," not "rush," and it occurs during the winter, not fall. Get off Greek rank and go educate yourself on IU Greek life instead.

IU 'recruitment' begins in the fall and ends in Jan. Freshmen should be securing their rec sheets right now and making sure they get them to the houses so they can go to pre rush parties. I'm well aware of how rush goes. I've researched houses and continue to speak with active members over the summer.I have ranked houses in an unbiased way and gather info from family, friends and acquaintances. PNMs also call it rush. You must also call yourself 'obvious' and one who is blaming top houses for her misfortune. You should know you embarrass yourself by bashing top houses because they OBVIOUSLY wouldn't waste their time with it. People like you get passed over due to personality issues. My guess is you are from one of the bottom three houses because they have 1's but the rest of the houses are mostly 5's and 4's.

I honestly hope you restrain your attitude when going to houses that you want to receive a bid from. You clearly think you are smarter and better than others. I'm sorry, but you are a 17 or 18 year old girl and have a lot to learn. The greek system at IU is very diverse, but there are some things that are true for every sorority. Every house will have their share of rude girls or girls who find it necessary to come onto these websites and make rude comments to try to get ahead. The reality is that the posts made here have no impact on the way the tiers are actually laid out. Assuming that you will get a bid from one of the houses you have already decided are the best can easily come back to bite you. You really will have no idea what a house is truly like until you join it. Everyone is nice during recruitment, sweetie. Grow up and get real. Oh, and good luck with the rest of recruitment

I wouldn't be so quick to think that you know what you're talking about just because you know active members and you're "well aware of how rush works." Fact of the matter is that IU recruitment is VERY competitive and girls who are smart, pretty, and know actives in houses get passed up each year. I'm sure that they also have way better attitudes than you as well. Nothing is guaranteed during recruitment, so until you get a bid, you are in no position to speak like this.

"Rank houses in an unbiased way?" LOL. One gets the sense you are just a bored individual attempting to stir the pot. The last thing we need is more mean girls, please go away.
To the real PNM's out there--those most successful in recruitment enter the process with few preconceived notions about chapters. The only thing you can be sure of, is that recruitment will not go exactly the way you expect it to. And contrary to the girl below who knows it all--there are plenty of ladies who receive bids with NO recs and NO connections. If you can get them and you have them great, if not be yourself, have a good time during recruitment, and let the chips fall. As nasty as it gets on this forum sometimes, the majority of Greek women want what's best for PNM's--we have been there and know how tough this process is.
