This site is actually horrible. Makes the Greek System at IU look extremely hateful. If you are a freshman planning on going through recruitment do not trust this site. Actually get to know the actual girls in the houses and your opinion based on these jealous and angry comments will be changed! No one is better than anyone else - this is not high school! Everyone needs to start acting like the adults we all are!

Talk about catty and insecure. I'm going through rush next year but I'm familiar with the houses. The top houses do not need to rank themselves. You're just trying to get in your digs. The middle and lower houses care enough to complain. You are in Kappa or Theta, I'll bet.

If you are incoming freshman, it is extremely disturbing that you would extract information from a site that is an inaccurate and incredibly negative reflection of IU Greek life. Recruitment is very, very competitive. If you are already "familiar" with the houses and have preconceived notions--you are in for a rude awakening. Good luck with that approach. As "UGH" points out below, many of these postings make Indiana Greeks appear unbelievably cruel--the IU site contains the most numerous, immature and malevolent Greek Rank rants of any school. Yet, the reality is that what you read here represents a very, very small MINORITY of women in panhel --most likely just a handful based on the number of repeated comments. Let's face it, reading this garbage is like a gaping at an auto accident--it is impossible to look away--though we all know we should. Go through recruitment with an open mind and be genuine kind and sincere?if you approach it any other way?you will be very disappointed

I don't see anything wrong with going to sites like this because I've made some valuable observations in doing so. Selecting a house involves many factors which include Internet research, friends, family and direct communication with girls in the houses. It is best if all this is done prior to recruitment. It is almost abrasive and even insulting to tell someone to NOT read something as it screams insecurity. I'm embarrassed that @toexactly went on her little diatribe because everyone knows this is what it is. There have been a time where some of the less popular houses have been at the top and the more popular houses were at the bottom with no complaints from posters like @toexactly. In fact, there was a time Kappa and Theta were at the top but since they hit the bottom, we see all these holier than thou responses about Greek Rank. Freshman are more sophisticated than @toexactly claims. There is no need to frighten them with the process.

I am an alum and a former RG. I was trying to help you. I Was NOT in one of the houses you mentioned, and spent my time in a solid well respective chapter. That being said i respected ALL houses on campus. You have every right to read what you wish, my point was that if you are truly ( and I now question this) a member of the incoming class, it would benefit you to gain perspective based on interface rather than unsubstantiated and negative comments. Best of luck to you...

I am late to this thread, but it seems to me that everytime someone tries to be postive about IU greek life or offers advice, they are attacked with responses that seem completely disconnected from the intent of the post. There are multiple posters here trying to keep things positive. As far as recently graduated alums checking in, that does not seem strange at all--people want to know what the public perception of their chapter might be. IU is a great school with an awesome Greek system. 'nough said....
