Did Theta Phi Alpha made quota?

Each chapter sets it's own quota based on how many open spaces/beds they will have when the seniors graduate in the spring. Some good chapters don't make quota by one or two for totally legitimate reasons such as women who drop out before pref, a PMN they are counting on has a better pref experience someplace else, they were competing with other strong houses, etc. TPA didn't have to make a quota, as they have no spaces to fill. I have heard pledge classes ranging from 85 to 33 so far. I do know many chapters took large pledge classes last year, so therefore they had fewer spots open this year.

there is a real problem at this school with the Greek system. you all need more sororities.

All quotas are based on how many beds you will have available in the house after the seniors graduate. If you will only have 30 available, you only take 30. It really depends on the physical size of the house, not thte chapter size.

greek life at iu sucks. i'm serious. every single house.... drama. TONS of drama. no one likes each other. the only reason why girls stay is 1) to have somehwere to stay and 2) because the few awesome girls you actually like in your house and befriend make it all worth it. greek life at IU is EXTREMELY superficial (all based on appearances; even lower-tier houses take appearance into consideration when choosing girls). it's like high school all over again and the superiority complex that most of them possess is absolutely ridiculous. trust me, whether you're a tri-delt or an agd, greek life here blows. it's all based on how pretty you are.

What is your point? If you don't like drama, don't join. In fact, don't pay attention, or better yet, quit school.

Yes, the Greek system may have flaws. However, you should step off the soapbox and research how many hours Greeks invest in their philanthropies. This is something we are all very proud of.

My friend had her heart set on pledging AOP, but didn't get the bid. Is this one of the more popular sororities or is is it low tier. My friend is really attractive and has a great personality.
