You don't want to spend the next four years miserable in a house just because they are "top tier". Go with what feels right. All the chapters at IU are wonderful.

An active's best advice for recruitment: Show interest and be genuine and sweet at every house because you don't want word getting around that you were a certain way. Plus, a house might surprise you. One thing that I was told in recruitment is no matter what reputation or tier a sorority might be should not be taken into account. Go where you know you would feel the most at home, the most accepted, where you know you will be able to cry over boys and drama and stress and run around in just a t shirt and your underwear because you want to borrow a girl's skirt and she lives downstairs. That is where you should be. Best of luck! Remember to be yourself!
