how does informal sorority rush work?

Can freshmen who rushed formally participate? Can freshmen who didn't rush formally participate? How hard is it to get a bid through informal rush?

You can email IUBPHA and let them know you are interested in informal recruitment. Very few, if any sororities actually do it, because they are full from formal. I believe only 1 did last year.

unhoused chapters usually hold informal recruitment a week after formal (everyone can participate); Some sororities offer snap bids from those who didn't accept (only people who participated in formal).

you cannot participate in informal if you signed a bid card and did not accept your bid.

I can guarantee you that none of the housed chapters will hold any sort of informal recruitment this year. If they do, it is usually EXTREMELY hush-hush and will just consist of giving out a couple of snap bids.
