advice to pnms
by: SororAs a member of a sorority going through recruitment on the other side, keep in mind that recruitment is a very artificial environment. All the houses spend tons of money and have tons of meetings to prepare their house to make it seem as great as possible, so don't get swept up the decorations/videos/outfits etc. Conversations are not even very reliable in forming an opinion because most houses are extremely diverse and have both cool and weird girls, nice and mean girls, pretty and average looking girls. Pay more attention to the skits (they show sense of humor) and the vibes you get from the house. Really trust your gut. Pay attention to the girls on the outskirts of the room, you'll be able to tell if they actually like each other and have a genuine sisterhood. Be yourself, be open minded, and look put together. Listen to your Rho Gams. Keep in mind that tiers are basically just what frat boys think/hear and aren't actually THAT relevant. Good luck, all the sorority members are excited to meet you all!

#6by: Ask yourself
Pnm's ask yourself "would I be happy LIVING WITH these girls for 2to 3 years?" Not just showing up to a little five pair or a party. with whom would you be happiest living with, sleeping in the same room with, etc.? My Rho gam asked a great question. . ."who would you be most comfortable taking a $&@t next to? Cause that will be happening every day, unlike parties/pairs.

What is considered "desirable" is completely subjective and differs from house to house. Everyone has something valuable to offer every chapter and Greek life is about more than the way you look or how hard you party. Your superficial and elitist attitude makes YOU incredibly undesirable and an embarrassment to the IU greek system.
