I am a sophomore at a different school looking to transfer to IU second semester this year... how hard or how easy is it for sophomores to get into a "good" house? is it unheard of?

No. I'm in a "good" house and we had a fair amount of sophomores in my PC. A few were even transfers. Just be pretty and personable and you should be fine.

It sucks but it's true, as long as you are hot, you'll get into a house regardless of your year. I know there's a handful of houses who don't take sophomores, so keep that in mind
