I know that recruitment at IU is very stressful and competitive. I'm wondering what a girl should do to maximize her chances at getting a bid to a top tier house, or any house really

be hot and/or have connections

be friendly and try to make a good and lasting impression through meaningful and engaging conversation with the sisters during rush

3rd street(minus kappa) + zeta have by far the most difficult rush process. To get into one of those houses you must have a lot going for you.

Sometimes it depends on who rushes you. You may click with that person so deeply, or even if you know you want to be in zeta or alpha phi or pi phi, but get rushed by someone who you have no spark with, you're done.

the goal shouldnt be top tier. the goal should be finding a place you feel comfortable in and somewhere you truly belong.
