how much of recruitment is predetermined?
by: pnmi get that knowing girls and having connections gives you kind of an upper hand that only makes sense, but i’ve been hearing from other girls that certain houses have already “picked” their girls and that some of them have been reached out to by some chapters. do all houses do this or just top ones?? it isn’t super important to me to get a bid from a “top house” per se but do i even have like a fighting chance of it or will it be super difficult to get a bid from any house at all ?? like everyone says “just be yourself” but is that even enough

everyone is actully considered, it doesn’t set you apart, however we do have girls we are told to look out for. and if your a sophomore or upperclassman rushing, connections is all you have. and your friends don’t count you need upperclassman (jr snr) to actully have an impact, sry, that or if your hot, but if u we’re we’d already know you.

It's not shallow to prefer girls you already know and like over complete strangers. The sororities choose their members, it's not a sign up sheet for the pnm's.

it absolutely helps to know someone (we’re told to “look out” for girls), but nothing is determined until rush. the top houses are hard to get into bc they look for a specific type of person, but if you fit that type, then ur fine. and if you don’t get a top house, the middle houses are honestly where its at! dg, axid, kd, theta, etc are the best!!

I'm not interested in a top house. I want a house that allows for individuality, not conformity. That being said, if my Rho Gamma is from one of the top houses will they be offended if I just scratch off the top houses right from the beginning or is there more of a "game" that needs to be played (where I pretend to be interested)?
Are Rho Gammas as neutral as they're supposed to be?

I ranked my rho gam’s house 22/22 during open invite- she never acted any different and was extremely kind and helpful. They’re there to help you find your house- if they didn’t want to be neutral they’d be recruiting.
