Be real with me : relationships

I’m a freshman dude who is really wanting to rush in the spring. My girlfriend and I have been together since our junior year of highschool and are both at IU. She isn’t wanting to rush, which I’m ok with, but she’s not comfortable with me going into a frat either.
Can anyone give me real life experiences and real expectations?

She's going to have to be very chill and understanding. You will have a lot of demands on your time when you're a pledge. And even after you're initiated you'll have things with your house 3-6 nights a week and a lot of them she won't be able to come to as a geed (pairs, etc). You can do it but it's hard.

I had a girlfriend going into my freshman year last year and this was a long-distance relationship as she was still in high school. She never had an interest in rushing and I allowed her stress to prevent me from rushing- big mistake. Now i’m pledging this fall and I couldn’t be prouder of my choice to be a sophomore pledge over never joining a frat. If she’s willing to bite the bullet unlike mine, you’ll be okay
