Rush starts once you step foot on campus despite what fake rules take place. Many frats that are smart have rush over the summer.

People will continue to prospect rush for the spring during the year.

fiji's pledge class is all but full by the end of summer
Most other pledge classes are based upon highschool friends and those are established before rush.
For all those houses, rush is just a formality since they already know mostly who will be in the pcs

im not saying they look at people on the summer or plan in the summer, im just saying rush is so based on who you know, that for any good fraternities, it's pretty much known who is going to rush
