sororities in trouble

Well yes but a new list of houses is in some sort of trouble literally every semester and sororities almost never get kicked off so you’d have to do several really terrible things for your house to face bad consequences. The only house on this list that is even somewhat in danger of that is zeta and it seems more likely that they’ll just be on a strict probation because they didn’t get kicked out after a much more serious offense a few years ago and that situation will be entirely sorted out by rush (they’ll either be gone and not an option or their new pc will be well aware of whatever restrictions have been administered to them). We should try to avoid misleading posts that will confuse pnms who are super excited to be here in the fall and patrolling this website like hawks

Here’s the thing, yes PNMs deserve the right to know about houses and probation, but majority of them will not even know what that even means. Even after being a pledge or initiated member, understanding probation is still very confusing except for those on exec because they’re the ones communicating directly with either IU or nationals.
Secondly, the most important thing is educating members. I know for my house and for many others (it not all) every new member was sat down and there was a discussion about parties and behavior, especially with the whole March 1st fiasco. You have to remember, a lot of these girls did not go to frats first semester bc they were either afraid of blacklist rumors or didn’t have connections so they don’t know what Greek parties are like. Even if they did go to frat parties they never went as a member of a sorority which is a very different experience, and there needs to be educations.
Most importantly even though it probably won’t stop, rumors need to be stopped. Around Little 5 there were countless rumors of every house being kicked off, which maybe people are drawn to the drama but we don’t want that. Another house being kicked off, especially a sorority, puts IU Greek life on the chopping block even more. Also, we shouldn’t be wanting to tear down other houses!! Even if you may have something against a house, there are actual people in there that love it and don’t want to leave campus and hate that their house is in trouble for one things one person did.

PNM's deserve to know what the deal is with houses, and all the OP said is that they are in trouble - which they are. Theta also could be in real trouble since they just recently got off probation and are on it again.
