are lower tier sororities really that bad?
by: question
Looking to do informal rush since I'm a transfer and from what I've gathered, it's mainly "lower" tier sororities that do informal in the fall.
I don't really care about ranking or status as long as I connect with everyone. That said, do lower tier sororities still have all the typical date night functions and social events?

Look at other posts in the past few weeks about informal or tiers. Whether you're in pi Phi or asa you have three pairs a week that's what the rules are here. If you're a junior don't do formal it will be the biggest waste of your time and money because the only houses who would take a junior are doing informal in the fall. If you're a sophomore who doesn't have a ton of close friends in houses then you should still do informal because most sophomore spots in formal pc's are taken up by friends of members. Obviously some people get lucky but it doesn't happen for very many people. Check out asa tpa and dphie on insta those are the three chapters that will definitely have a round of open informal and that's where they'll announce it

I mean just because a sorority is lower tier doesn’t mean they don’t have date parties or pair with fraternities. Lower tier sororities don’t pair with the same fraternities top tier sororities do but they still have fun. Just because a sorority is a lower tier doesn’t mean they don’t partake in the same activities that everyone else does. I would check out the social media and wait to hear on when they might do informal and give it a shot, especially if you don’t care about social status.
