fall 2017 grade report is online

I don't know a single guy in FIJI so this is not aimed directly at them. But if you look at the chapters that are in the top 10, only three of them have more than 100 members. It's easier to keep your chapter GPA if you have 13 members. Some of these chapters are so small, just recruit in the Kelley School or Informatics program and there you go, there is your GPA. The chapters with 150+ have to have a harder time maintaining a good GPA than chapters with less 60 members.

All of the sororities are pretty much the same size (all over 120), we always see the same Top 5 for the most part.

Okay, then, if so, how do you explain that the all of the sororities listed have over 100 members? They seem to do well with grades. Why can't the frats do the same?

There are no sororities comparable to some of the frats on the list that have less than 50-60 members. The largest sorority and the smallest sorority have about a 50 member difference. It's no secret that sororities typically have higher avg gpas than frats but it's unfair to compare a frat with 160 members to a frat with 20 members when it comes to gpa

Sig Ep and Beta would probably disagree. Wonder what they are doing differently than your chapter?

Sorority gpa vs fraternity gpa isn't what they meant they were saying that many of the top ten frats have significantly less like literally over 100 less members than other frats so it's not a fair comparison. Every sorority has around the same number of members so the top ten sororities are a more accurate comparison to each other

Hey Real Deal, frats with only 13 to 50 members does NOT make you a top tier even with a high GPA. It makes those frats full of nerdy goobers. Sorry bro. that doesn't cut it.

Seriously? Women take easier majors?? Are you kidding me? I am in a sorority and I can tell you for certain that there are women in my chapter who are biochemistry, business, informatics, media school and music school. Those are not easy majors. Are you insinuating that sorority women are full of elementary ed majors?? Don't forget about the frat boys who are education majors so they can teach history and coach.

@32Blue please do your research, there are fewer education majors in every college than ever before. Your assumption just doesn't hold water. Also, the ratio of men to women in the education program is more even than you think. You are making assumptions that just aren't accurate. Also, the majority of education majors are NOT Greek, again more flawed logic.

Enrollment in education programs is down nationwide. In 2016, the number of students pursuing an education degree in Indiana had dropped 30% from the previous year and the decline has continued each year since. There is an added emphasis on STEM majors, they outnumber education majors by far now. I have done my research for an article I wrote for a journalism class, so no, I am not an education major.

IU isn't nearly as hard as other Big 10 schools, but at least our grades are inflated to show it.

At the time 7/10 were unhoused, but Beta Sig is now housed and Phi Psi is gauranteed a house in like a year, so that kind of makes it 5/10
