tpa and asa housing?

by:

Okay so just saw someone write about how there are now housing spaces cleared for TPA and ASA so they can get a house on campus within the next few years...

I heard that TPA doesn't want a house and likes the fact that they're off campus without the rules on campus housing has.

I would ask someone in either chapter but I'm not close enough with the girls I know so I would feel weird.

Does anyone know the real story on whether 1. they want a house 2. they will get one soon?

TPA and ASA both want housing and said so during recruitment. They are going to need significant funding to pay for them, though, so that could take as long as 5 years. Their nationals are working closely with them to make this happen. DPhiE is also probably going to start raising money for housing when they come. No sorority wants to be unhoused at IU.

It will be at least 5 years before either chapter has a house. Not because they don't want one or aren't trying. It legitimately takes that long to raise the money and work through the process. DPhiE is a smaller national organization, similar in size to ASA and TPA. It will take the same time frame for them to build as well. Be patient and give the chapters time to grow and thrive.

thats so weird because for some reason last year allllll i heard from people was that tpa didn't want a house. Now the people who were saying that aren't in theta phi alpha...so the credibility with that isn't high.

but I doubt dphi will get a house before TPA. TPA has been here the longest compared to ASA and dphi. and they'll have to find a spot.

There's no way they will find a big enough spot in between houses like SAE did! Idk where they'll put the house but it'll take a while to get the "okay" by IU's president..who happens to hate greeks.

Asa will never have a house. Their own nationals refuses to let them be housed bc it will cost them money.

I'm not sure who you're talking to, but ASA did bid on ATO and their nationals said not yet. It may still be a no. Nobody knows yet.

I used to be best friends with an ASA and they 100% Bid on ATO and she was crushed when their nationals screwed them over on it, the individual girls can pay housed cost dues but the nationals is 100% keeping them down

It is possible ASA women pay partial or full housed dues despite no house. Groups without immediate financing for a house, and no immediate national funds for same, will often go that route and build/rent a home later. It may not seem fair, but what is fair is they are paying for a home they will eventually return to when they are older for homecoming etc. purposes. I just hope if they are collecting this type of fee they inform women BEFORE bid day.

You're welcome. Just trying to keep facts straight, but I came to the wrong place for that obviously.

BTW I meant it's true ASA bid on ATO. If CallingBS meant that too then nevermind, misunderstanding.

I am saying that ASA never getting a house is BS, not the ATO bid.
