By definition they are only given out starting with the end of bid matching until bid day itself. If any snaps are going out, the women receiving them are getting those calls from their Rho Gam. The call goes along the lines of sorry you didn't match however AAA chapter would like to offer you a bid right now. Do you accept?
99 times out of 100, the women who are getting the dreaded call from their rho gam are not being offered a snap bid later. However, there may be some informal bids that go out starting tomorrow. Snaps are only prior to bid day to get chapters to meet quota. Last year less than 10 snaps were given out. This year I see it about the same. Women often say they were snap bid if they are offered a bid tonight after bid day or tomorrow morning. this is incorrect. They were given a COB.

Last year I knew of 2 girls in aphi who got snaps, 1 girl in theta who got a snap, 1 girl in kappa who got a snap, and 1 girl in DG....if 5 people I personally know got snap bids I HIGHLY doubt only 10 were given out in total! There is literally NO way that's true...

There is a very short window for snaps, the time between bid matching and bid day. So many of the things girls say are snaps were really COBs done after bid night festivities on the tennis courts. I know of two girls who accepted bids to ZTA after bid day, they said they got snaps but they really got COBs.
