difference between dg and gphi
by: Toss upI got 7 back. I was initially disappointed because I was cut from my legacy house but, I absolutely loved Delta Gamma and G Phi and thought they were very similar. The girls I met were chill, fun and very down to earth and I could see myself in either of those houses. I am really hoping (but not assuming) that I will have them both for preference. Any thoughts on the main differences between them? The DG house has just been redecorated, and I favor that location, but beyond that it is a total toss up!
#2by: You'll know.
They are both strong sisterhoods. Pref is the time when houses really stand out from one another. It is very emotional and it is a time when your really know if you are connected. IF you make it through to both, you will definitely get a sense then. If not keep an open mind--if you are fortunate to be at a preference party, be thankful for that!

Really can’t go wrong with either of these chapters. Both are respected strong houses without a lot of drama . They just do their thing. And dont worry about “pairs.” It’s irrelevant. Frats on this campus are here today, gone tomorrow. Honestly, most of the people that get on this site and talk about tiers and pairs are on the outside looking in. As you go into pref, you, be you! Enjoy the moment, and then let the chips fall. Good Luck!!

And also, educate yourself. That goes for any house BTW. Look at the things important to YOU. Are they present on campus? Do they participate in IUDM and other activities? How is their GPA. How about their philanthropy? Do they get a lot of support from nationals. What is their live-in/out policy? What about the living conditions in the house. Lastly, just be happy you have this dilemma. There are a lot of girls out there who do not have alternatives.
