it takes people not worrying so much about getting in.
why would you 1. specifically mention tri delt? and 2. ask about it?
Either you're already in a house, trying to cause drama online or you haven't rushed yet and are extremely desperate to only get into a "top tier sorority" because it is just that. A top tier.
How about you worry about where you are. And if you are going to rush, how about you worry about your best fit, rather than the tier of each house.
It takes a good personality, good looks, and to rush anywhere you must have money. Some houses are up to $11,000 a year. If you mesh well with a house, then they'll like you. If not, then you should look at a different house.

the most expensive houses are sdt aehpi and axid... not the top teir ones

I would see what the cost to live in a chapter house includes. Some of them have different amenities, meal plans, etc.. (There may be some that provide no breakfast or weekend meals.) I would rather know the full amount up front instead of having "hidden costs" that are not reported.

not true. that is not "it."
As much as people hate to say it: they look for looks.
Most sororities do. As much as we say "we'd rather have personality over looks," if there are 2 girls with the same GPA, extra activities, etc., they will pick the "better" looking one.
As well as financially stable ones. Although they say they don't judge outfits, it is easy to see who has more money, which is necessary as said above because some houses are publicly stated at $10,000.

You have to have the right look, so they can parade you in front of the "right" fraternities and maintain their social standing. This is more important than grades, activities, and recs.

but mainly it takes someone who isn't so desperate to post a question like this.
1. if you haven't rushed, get off of here.
2. if you HAVE rushed, focus on your own chapter.
3. if you HAVE rushed and didn't get a chapter back, then don't focus on JUST "top tier." focus on your best match for next time.

Everyone is hating on this girl bc she is being honest and just saying what she wants. All the other commenters are just so extremely jealous.
Fact is if she said she wanted to be in a middle teir sorority, no one would have a problem with it.
