How do sororities decide who gets a bid? Does every member vote on each girl?

Each sorority does it differently with how they decide who gets on their bid list, but its a list 1-X number of girls, and the first 55ish girls are the "first picks" - if one of the girls in that top group picks another sorority, the next girl on the list gets bumped up to receive a bid.
