chi omega's probation

Yeah it's really nothing serious at all. It's just a more chill year where they're not paired for Little 5 but by next year they're back on :)

so why the probation?

I've heard from multiple people, including one in chi o (shes a baby tho so idk how much she knows) that there was drinking during recruitment.
yes very vague. and yes i know it could be wrong.

A pnm told me her rush group this year were given alcoholic drinks at one of the chapters during one of the official rush parties. She did NOT say it was XO, she didn't mention the chapter by name. She is only an acquaintance, so I can't say much about her credibility. I rolled my eyes at our other friend who was standing there when she told us this story as it sounded so completely ludicrous. I even forgot about it until just now reading this post. That absolutely could not happen.....could it?

The story they are trying to keep under wraps is that a XO got so drunk early in bid week, that she had to have her stomach pumped. I give them credit for taking her to the hospital so she could get help, it could have been tragic.

Thanks for specifying what happened. Yes, it's fortunate that someone took her to the hospital. You hear so much over the last few years about things going from bad to worse because someone doesn't get medical attention when they clearly need it because others don't want to get in trouble. Could have been so much worse.

I talked to a few baby Chi O's and they said their nationals put them on informal probation or something like that so it's not as serious. They didnt know a whole lot or a lot they weren't saying much, but they definitely cant be paired for Little 5 and they have people from nationals coming and checking in every so often
