rush problems
by: SpringRushNowI feel like guys rush is terribly run here at IU. I got invited back to multiple private events, met a ton of dudes, and even had one house give me an indication that they were going to give me a bid only to hear nothing. Half of my friends that I was almost positive would get bids didn't either while kids that I thought would have no shot got into good houses. Is it really all just connections and legacy based?

Agreed - lots of bids are given to guys who weren't "all that" in high school but their cool older brothers were which secured them a bid. Many were ostracized in high school and because they now have a bid or got in, that somehow makes them superior. Don't fall for their crap or buy into it. If you didn't get a bid, you can still try in spring if it's that important to you. But believe me, plenty of awesome guys who were top tier in high school don't get bids and still manage to party all around campus and get invited to the fraternities their friends are in...
