They can't land a pair bedsides Phi Mu, and the pledge classes they got were full of sophomore rejects from freshman year and a bunch of weird freshmen. Honestly a bottom house between Lambda and Theta Chi

It's not so much as hype as it is context. Consider their situation: They have been on probation forever and now, they are finally off with no signs of going back on so far. During the last year, they were considered irrelevant and not the best house on campus, which is expected. However, they had an opportunity during little 5 last semester to party and it seems like they had a solid week. So, if you are considered irrelevant due to probation and then get to show a little of what it's like off probation, then they are going to rise and that's what happened. Now, imagine they get to be off the whole year? They are going to rise some more. It's more about the context of their situation than anything.
