If you're from out of state, do you have any chance at getting a bid to a house?

Of course! Being form out of state has no bearing on if you will get a bid or not. Depending on the house they could have more out of state girls than in state.

Yes, Some Iu houses are known for having more out of state than in instate girls. .. But not sure that would work for you unless you are from NYC or Chicago. . But the real disadvantage for out of state girls is that no one knows you. Rush is about making a connection with the girls already in .

They have per-rush activities in the fall and they may not know you to invite you...ESP if you are like most freshman and live in freshman dorm and take freshman classes

PHA has decided not to do pre-recruitment activities anymore for Fall 2013. This applies to all sorority houses across campus.
