how do sororities tell who they want during rush?
by: WonderingI saw a post saying pi phi and chi omega like girls who are "instagram models" and "artsy" and stuff like that. Obviously they can kind of pick that up from talking to you a little, but do they follow you on instagram during rush? Are PNMs required to keep their insta public during rush? Or what?

Our country has laws stating it's your own personal decision whether to privatize your own social media, no matter how or when or for what reason. A sorority can't force you to open your social media to them.
Each sorority has private membership selection requirements, and no one but an initiated member may know them. Do not listen to any rumors about recruitment by sororities on this website, no one from those groups is the person posting that poor misinformation.

Throughout your life you have developed a little thing called character. How do you treat others? What effect does your taste and style effuse?
Sorority women have private, preferred guidelines they look for when choosing new members and some of those may change from semester to semester. The best thing to do as a pnm at recruitment is act naturally/be yourself. Let the stress of choice remain on the sorority. You just be your best you.
