Exactly. "Recruitment" and "New Member" may be the official terms of NPC but women still participate in rush and become pledges. A pledge period has absolutely nothing to do with hazing.

And most sorority groups are changing their terminology for colonies, because some people think 'slave colonies' and have demanded the change.

Liberal sorority women who are demanding the NPC, their sororities and their campus panhellenics and administrators change the terminology. Trust me, they exist and they want different wording used.
