What purpose did it serve to allow them to have recruitment to close the chapter a month later? Did the same person make the decision to evict everyone rather than let them live in the house one more month? It seems like their purpose wasn't only to shut the chapter down but to make the circumstances as difficult as possible.

We get you want 3D HQ to reinstate the charter of IU's 3D chapter. Too bad for some that situation is still in flux.

As some here have noted the women in IU's 3D chapter knew for a long time frame they needed to behave better, and as they did not their beloved charter was pulled. Values and standards exist for a reason.

The 3D gals had plenty of warning their behavior needed fixing before 2017's recruitment. The last bad behavior straws came after 2017's recruitment. Are you suggesting 3D nationals should have pulled the charter in 2015/2016 instead of putting the gals on probo? So then 3D's Winter 2017 recruitment would not have occurred?

If you have continual problems out of numerous chapters then someone is not doing their job at the National level.

Perhaps those concerned alums should have been serving as advisers to the chapter and helped the collegians get out of the mud. It seems if their concern is real, it is too little too late. What is done is done and it is clear that the national have the best interests of the national organization at heart.

Nationals has not handled this situation correctly. You can actually enforce rules and be respectful all at the same time. You do not have to belittle or control people to do so. You can enforce the rules, close the chapter without trying to show people who is boss or prove some type of point. That is certainly not the way to earn respect and develop relationships with chapters and alumni. This chapter and its alum iare just saying what dozens of other chapters want to say but do not want to have to deal with the backlash of a handful of adults who have a mean girl mentality. If Nationals has proof that a large number of young ladies in this group acted in a manor that was not in compliance with what nationals requires, then they should do what they need to do. But the behavior of ignoring people's concerns or feeling like they do not owe anyone any type of explanation is ridiculous. Their philanthropy, St Jude is truly their saving Grsce most of the time.. Tri Delta is lucky enough to have the honor of being associated with an organization with the most dedicated group of founders, employees and volunteers who have worked for decades dedicated to the cause of St Jude. The St Jude family all have a genuine respect and love for one another. Being able to be blessed enough to play a role in their extended family and have your name associated with St Jude is like a winning lottery ticket.

Wouldn't it also have been "ignoring peoples concerns" had HQ not listened to the concerned 3D women complaining about poor 2017 behavior on the part of their IU 3D sisters? No explanation to IU students/parents/the general public was made by a private org such as 3D under these circumstances due to the sensitive and delicate nature of the events. And what does the 3D St Jude philanthropy have to do with the situation, or was that post hastily formed using some greekrank AI robot chock-filled with general Tri Delta information?
