Sororities are a great way to get involved

Join some clubs or organizations to get involved and keep your grades up. Sororities want to see involvement plus it's a good way to meet people and make connections

Pledge the library. Studying can lead to your great gpa, which sororities look for among other attributes. And don't worry if sorority women aren't wearing their letters 24/7 on campus and you don't know who they are. Be friendly and approachable to all you meet, even men, because you never know which men know which women in which sorority and these men may give you a good review if asked by sorority gals. Professors you know on campus and older people you are acquainted with in general may still be involved with their greek houses, or know someone who is, thus someone may silently recommend you to their house during recruitment. Don't forget the financial commitment joining a sorority entails. Finding or keeping a part-time job may be part of your 2017 summer and fall schedule. Even though IU is a ginormous campus, a pleasant and personable woman can get along by leaving her good impression upon all while waiting to attend recruitment in January!
