No one has signed the house. No security deposits have been taken. Nothing is for sure. Yet. All posts "by TPA" are probably people just trying to make TPA look bad. Chill out kids.

TPA has a verbal agreement with Delts. They need many of their girls to find sub-letters within the next week.

They probably forced this years' freshman class to live in Delts next year which is kind of unethical since the girls chose an off-campus house, but alright. That still means there are two dozen or so girls who need to fill the remaining rooms. They need to either a) break their lease or b) sublease within the next week.

I went to tpa's pref round and they never said anything about the possibility of a house. the girls were all set on terra so idk it seems like it'd be really complicated to get them all to break their leases and for freshman who accepted bids have to live in a house they didn't know about before hand.

Since the house will be available more than one year, could TPA take Summer and Fall 2017 semesters to redecorate/refresh the interior with more feminine appeal and have women move-in and recruit from the house Winter 2018? It would cost TPA National more money (with no live-ins for Fall) but the house would look spanking great for recruitment!

Perhaps this idea has been floated during house negotiations, and thats why its taking so long for the big announcement.

Situations occurred rapidly this past January against the Delts. No one could have anticipated a house being made available until the ink was dry so to speak. I would not have expected TPA, ASA, DPhiE to speak at Pref of immediate housing possibilities, as no announcement had come from the Delts regarding same.

TPA National, like any other forward-thinking organization, has set-aside housing funds for a long time toward current and future campus housing. IU now has housing availability, and TPA made the decision to "go for it". Let's let the good faith negotiations continue as long as necessary but with a decision soon enough that the students affected can make confident housing plans for next school year.

I'm in an organization that bid on the house and Delts contacted us yesterday saying they have decided to move forager with TPA because they present the least risk. However, TPA is getting a terrible deal. Their girls will be paying over 11k per year. Most houses don't even charge that.
