phi mu or tridelta?

I just went through rush and am currently in a sorority. I honestly loved phi mu all the girls were very sweet and easy to talk to. Tri Delt they had a lot of energy and were all super enthusiastic but were very rude to me as well as the girls in my rush group. The conversations I had were all centered around makeup whereas at phi mu we talked about family and our hometowns. They both are great but very different. Also, from my knowledge tri delt will be on probation until 2019 so do with that information what you will.

If you want the label of top tier, go tridelt. If you want a genuine sisterhood, go phi mu.

You should look at something inbetween these two, check out houses like DG, AXO, Theta, and GPhi

You may like them based on social media but you should go into rush with an open mind. I had my heart set on one that I thought I would fit in perfect with, however, they dropped me right before pref. Phi mu and Tri Delt are very different from each other but both are great! Since you have about a year I would just keep an open mind.

As a girl who just went through recruitment, my advice would be to not stalk too much on social media and don't go into it thinking you know what house you want to be in. IU recruitment is tough and they make harsh cuts, so it isn't a good idea to have your heart set on only a few sororities. Obviously it makes sense to be curious and do a bit of research on the chapters (I know I did), but you will have plenty of time to form your true opinions during recruitment. As for the reputations of both though....phi mu is known as sweet, smart, normal girls, where as tri delt is more of the gorgeous party girls. I know girls in both houses though and they're all great people, just very different.

social media is NOT a good indicator of this, as you have to LIVE WITH these people. 24/7. Not just instagram moments. social media is just what houses want you to see.

A good indication of sororities are looks to be honest. But the reality is that sorority rush here places you where you should be, most of the time.
