rushing a sorority as a sophomore transfer?

by:

I'm thinking of transferring to Indiana next fall and I was wondering if it'd be hard to get into a good sorority if I'm a sophomore transfer. Also, do you need to be in greek life to have fun/make friends or is greek life not a huge thing? Thanks so much! :)

It is difficult to get into any sorority here. Good or bad. That's why majority are deemed very good because rush is such a selective process at IU. Many girls go without a bid. Recruitment at IU is hazing itself damn near but amazing if you make it through. I would say Greek life is very big at IU but it is also a very exclusive community. But you most definitely do not need to be in Greek life to have fun. My whole first semester before being in a sorority freshman year was one of my favorites of college! Unfortunately our system is not as kind as many other schools but if you find your place it is definitely worth it!!

If you're a transfer you are basically limited to the unhoused or lower tier sororities.
