fiji spring rush

You are wrong. They run a very controlled rush--beginning in the spring with invited high school seniors who stay in the house for the weekend.
Bids are given out and come fall, the pledge class--already chosen--moves into the house with the rest of the chapter.
During actual fall rush, FIJIS host open houses and may pick up a few select pledges.

Not saying they will NEVER take a winter or spring pledge, but they are nothing if not tradition-bound, so the odds are they will continue with what works for them. Does this make them somewhat "in-bred" and boring? Yes. Are they representative of the current IU student body make up? Not at all. But--do they care? Nope.
