Clearing the air because I just read a crazy untrue thread

The active members of all the sororiety have zero clue who is on their new member list. We literally find out about 20 minutes before you do when a sealed envelope is handed to each chapters President. We are just as excited as all of you to find this out.
Anything else you read in threads is false.

they do know however who they offered bids to right ?
they just dont know who ultimately got matched to receive that bid which is why they dont know the final list ?

Nope. We know who came through pref round, and that some girls really loved the ones they talked to, but we don't know what you ranked and we also don't know your overall total score. It is going to be a surprise to us too!

And to be more specific. The active members don't know how the final list come out. The voting system gets complicated and sometimes you have to stand up for the candidate that you want in the house. All of this has to be done in a respectful way to all members. Could you you imagine the chaos in a house if every active got to see the final ranking. It would not be good as we all want our rush people to be on top
That's why it's all so exciting and nerve-racking for us too.

so silly question how do they prepare for the girls that got bids meaning their names or posters or something if they dont know until like 20 mins before. is it a mad rush ???

They know like an hour in advance at most. And yes, it's a mad exciting time.

You prepare things in advance but don't put the names down until you actually know who is in the pledge class. In my chapter, the name is the last thing we put on there.

Of course we have our favorites and girls we want to see back, but we don't know who is coming back until right before the bids go out.
