confused
by: confusedeveryone is saying (and seeing) that a ton of girls dropped during the process, yet others are also saying that many didn't get bids. If so many dropped and some still aren't getting bids, are some chapters not meeting quota? confused and very nervous. also does anyone know the truth to if you pref 3, guaranteed a bid?

Were you told already this morning whether or not you received a bid? It's all new this year so I don't know.
My assumption is that they created a quota for all of the chapters based off of the numbers of girls that dropped last year within a safe range so that way every house was more likely to meet their quota above all. That may mean that it's under the number they expected to actually receive bids, so some girls will still not receive a bid. Their goal was to do both, but quota is most important.
There is no guarantee on the pref 3, and you get a bid situation. What happens is that if you pref all three and not a single one asked you back, then they will go ask the first house you pref if they want to make you a quota addition. If they say yes, you will come later to bid night of that chapter. If they say no, you will have to rush again next year.

That's not how Quota additions work. Very close though.
If you are a QA, no one knows except panhel. You get your bid like everyone else. If you do not get bid matched with any of your chapters you had at pref, they look at who had you higher on their reserve list, who you had higher, and the total size of the chapters already. Whatever determining factors they base it off of they put you as a quota addition for one of the chapters you had left.
