I have a 2.96. Do you think any houses cut me first round for that

If a sorority cud for gpa, is it typically after the first round? This seems to be the consensus from various online sources

Generally the deepest GPA cuts are made after first round. However, in the coming rounds it can also be used to differentiate between you and other PNMs when sororities are coming down to the wire in deliberations. For instance, let's say you have a certain number of PNMs towards the bottom of the list of who you want to invite back that you feel pretty evenly about. If all else is the same, the GPA can be used to put those PNMs in order. So you can get cut for your GPA in later rounds even if you more than met the cutoff and survived the brutal first round cuts. So yeah, if you have something that's in the lower end of the GPA range for that chapter, then you probably have some more to be worried about but that's out of your control so there's no use spending too much emotional energy on it.

I also believe that a house that values GPA is more likely to do this. A house with a party reputation, however, may be a bit less likely (though they still need to consider gpa)
