not really.. it helps when you're comparing someone with a 3.0 and someone with a 3.3, but after about a 3.3 grades don't really get you anywhere.

GPA helps you in the way that it shows if you're a dedicated/well rounded student but the number itself won't determine whether or not you get into a house. hope this helps and good luck with recruitment!
